I was a club DJ in and around Birmingham from 1976 onwards. I met, worked alongside and knew many of the singers and bands during my time. I was friends with Glen Salmon, manager of Delegation. Knew Keely Ford and Malcolm Derrick when they were keeping their relationship quite, worked alongside Jimmy Powell for a few years and many more great singers and bands such as Quartz (when they were Bandylegs, Guinevere from Redditch who later changed their name to Speed Limit, UB40’s Robin Campbell and Astro.
