Well! I am very sad to learn about Carl’s death, especially for you Karen.
It’s a very long story and I think it best to ask you to call me and speak about it.
I played with your dad before we left Sutton Coldfield in 1962 for London and of course Hamburg.
If you want, call me on 07977 23 10 24. I would be happy to tell you all I know and, yes, I have a copy of the Hollick & Taylor and other recordings from the early ’60’s.
I live near to Bromsgrove, England so if you are relatively near Sylvie and I would be happy to reminisce over a cuppa!
Over to you . . .
Hi Rob, I was gutted to read that John Bradley died recently. I played with John in The Bobby Ash Sound in 1966 – 67 until Bobby Ash(Graham Ashford) went to America without telling us. I work in Bromsgrove and live in Halesowen and would really appreciate any more info you can give me. I remember John married a German girl called Susannah who was a real character. My mobile no is 07812 408 059. Thanks and regards Bob Watkins
I used to work with Carl Fenn at George Wimpy & Co Ltd in the early 60s. I have been wondering for ages what happened to him and am sad to learn of his death. Just met a guitarist from the 60s in the pub tonight and of course conversation inevitably turns to music in the 60s. And I asked my usual question ‘does anybody know what happened to Carl Fenn – a nice kid I used to work with’ so sorry to have just missed him. Looked before on the internet but found nothing. Have just left a message on Graham Ashford’s wedbsite I found while surfing.
May I ring you on the number you gave his daughter in law?
Carl Fenn was my Moms cousin Pauline Fenn (now Malloch) and her sisters (Jacqueline Fenn) I know its late but I will pass this on to them. My Grandad Tom Fenn was Carls Dads JacK’s brother (onlt 11 months between them). I would like to know when he/Jack passed away?
Best wishes
