Mangy Bananas were active around 1983, they used to rehearse at Flick Studio’s in Hockley, really good band,can’t remember much but my band at the time(Eye DO It) took them down to Weymouth to support us at a club down there.
I remember losing out to Mangy Bananas at the Battle of the Bands at the Barrel Organ, Digbeth, Birmingham. My band was Soul Exit. I also recall a band called Rice Krispies with a female singer songing with an ironing board. Would never happen today
