Hi, I really hope you can help me as I am getting desperate and I don’t know where to turn.
I am looking for a man called Ivan (or possibly Ivor?) but I don’t have his last name. I have such a little amount of information and my previous searches have led me nowhere.
My mother had a one-night-stand with Ivan in 1970. She met him at the Aero Club at Birmingham Airport and she never saw him again. She was with her best friend, June, at the time and my mum (Janet) and June went off with Ivan and his mate for a one-night-stand. On this night, I was conceived.
My mum has only recently told me this after all these years and to say my world has been turned upside down is an understatement. I am absolutely desperate to find Ivan before it is too late.
I cannot imagine how you must feel and I do not want to give you false hope, so please do not get too excited by my reply.
My friends and I used to visit the Aero Club in the late 1960’s and I did know a young man there named Ivor. It was so long ago and memories fade, but I do remember what he looked like – has your Mum told you anything more about him?
