Brum Music Month: Bentley Rhythm Ace – Bentley's Gonna Sort You Out

Formed by Richard March and Mike Stokes with a revolving ensemble of other musicians including ex Poppies Fuzz Townsend, Bentlys were at the vanguard of the Beat Beat movement.
This is an infectious track that will bring a smile to your face on a glorious sunny day.

Enjoy!

  1. BRA! I loved BRA. Saw them 4 times in the 3 Reading Festivals I went to. Always in one of the smaller tents and always absolutely packed out.

I remember PWEI’s Fuzz Townshend drumming for them on one occassion. He looked like a cross between Animal from The Muppets and Peter Andre and drummed like he’d consumed a litre bottle of speed. Keeping beat to up-tempo dance tracks for 2 hours solid without respite has to be a major feat of endurance.

I remember the live shows being chock full of theremin to give the appropriate amount of bleeps and whoops.
