  1. I did my first band studio recording here at the age of 16 in 1981. I still have the studio brochure !!! . It’s now hanging in my local music shop here in USA !!!

  2. Andy 'Woo' Wootton

I have a cassette called ‘Hope’ by Youth of Metropolis that was recorded here in 1983. My mate Brett was the drummer. They took me to a great pub called The Boat after one of their gigs in 80/81 and I never found it again.

A year or two ago I saw an old postcard and realised it was The Flapper, which I’ve been going to gigs at since about 2000.

  3. Recorded here with The Letters. Great tight session – 5 tracks in a day! My first go on a Roland Jupiter-8. Our “Manager” persuaded us to spray our bandname all over Birmingham to get a buzz going. He omitted to tell us he was preacher at our local Moseley church before we heavily-publicised his outer wall
