Vision Collision were a late 1970s pop/rock band. Two of their members were Terry Lilley, who played bass, and Andy Wickett, who sang lead vocals; he would later become the lead singer of Duran Duran. Vision Collision never released any material.
Terry Lilley, who had previously been a member of punk band Dennis & the Din Makers, formed Vision Collision with singer Andy Wickett and other musicians. They borrowed their equipment and rehearsal space from Duran Duran, playing in Wickett’s room at Cheapside, Birmingham where Duran Duran also rehearsed (Stephen Duffy’s band, The Hawks, played downstairs on the veranda).
Vision Collision were an opening act for Duran Duran at the now-defunct Star Club in Birmingham in 1979, one of their first ever performances. Entrance fees were only 50p. After the gig, Andy Wickett would eventually become Duran Duran’s lead vocalist, while Terry Lilley would form pop band Terry and Gerry, effectively breaking Vision Collision up.

Thanks to Steve Palmer
I saw this band at least once at JB’s Dudley- around the early 1980’s (?) . They were quirky and very good. I remember a girl key board player who I thought was cute. Not aware they released any records though

The band did release an ep on cassette, recorded at Bob Lamb’s in Cambridge Road….I was fortunate enough to find the original multitask whilst working at the now defunct Highbury Studio and have remixed the tracks available. The videos are from a performance opening for my band Dangerous Girls in 1980.
Hi Rob
I would love to see the video but more importantly do you know where Visit is as we were best friends and have lost touch. It would be great to contact him.
Kind Regards
Steve
Do you have a copies of the EP, Rob? I would love to get a copy. I remember the Dangerous Girls. Beetmoll used to wear pegs in his hair and pull pints in the Golden Eagle.
Line up in the videos:
Fosit Forsythe – Vocal
Cara Tivey – Keyboards
Bobby Bird – Guitar
Rob Price – Drums
Terry Lilley – Bass

VCs singer was Fossit in 1979 and beyond. Don’t remember Andy Wickett in Vision Collision. I was at the 50p gig on flyer above. …Andy W sang for Duran there.
